WDF Professional has established a system of recruiting and training high-school graduates and accounting studies undergraduates who have the ambition and ability to become top-flight accountants.
Our cadetship program offers students the opportunity to work in the profession whilst completing their university degree. The firm offers cadets practical experience and on-the-job training, in a salaried position, with paid leave for university lectures and financial assistance with text books, course notes etc. At WDF Professional, we develop our cadets to have business acumen and personal skills, as well technical excellence, in order to best service our clients.
We also provide an extensive in-house training regimen and personal on-the-job training by team leaders and senior accountants. In addition to the Team Leader, each cadet has a designated "Mentor" to assist them with any queries or concerns and to advise them on career progression.
We seek students in Year 12 who expect to successfully complete their secondary studies before undertaking a relevant business focused degree with an accounting major, or 1st or 2nd year university students already undertaking an Accounting Degree. We look for students with a strong academic record, particularly in Mathematics and English, who have the drive and ambition to succeed and who are able to communicate well with others.
Our cadets work full time in our office. They gain valuable practical experience that can be related to their formal studies at university. Cadets are paid a salary, and provided with financial assistance for text books.
